About

In March 2010, nearly 400 people came together to Reboot Democracy. They came from communities from all across Oregon: water activists from the Klamath River Basin and civil rights activists from Portland; business leaders from Eugene and cultural leaders from the Warm Springs Tribe; high school students who have yet to cast a ballot and political veterans who've appeared on countless ballots.

These people built stronger relationships and, in the words of Rev. Lennox Yearwood, worked to break down the silos that have traditionally kept us apart. Rebooting Democracy was a cross-generational, cross-community event, and the future of the public interest in Oregon is immeasurably stronger because of it.

Rebooting Democracy will be back for more agenda-setting, policy-scheming, movement-building action in 2012.
